Our project aims to investigate the often troublesome and poorly understood relationship between democracy and the media in Central and Eastern Europe. All the reports produced from the work of our research team are available here. They highlight the research areas covered, our findings so far and reflect the evolving questions we are seeking to answer, encapsulated by our aim to investigate ‘What kind of democracy is necessary for the media to perform its statutory functions?’
